IHG specializes in healthcare exposure for students interested in careers within the healthcare field by offering international volunteer work all while supporting cultural awareness. Volunteers travel abroad and support mobile clinics by interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, performing labs, distributing medications, surveying communities, and helping lead public health seminars (all under the supervision of licensed staff).
Additionally, students have an opportunity to observe/shadow medical providers, tour local hospitals, and coordinate a social outreach event for communities we serve. Each session is mentored by U.S. licensed medical providers as well as providers licensed in the host country.
IHG employs medical professionals that are licensed in the host country in order to ensure a continuation of care for the patients that visit our mobile clinics.
